UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- Chris Sanders and Marcus Nash hooked up for a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the Dallas Desperados escaped with 33-31 victory over the New York Dragons on Sunday.
With the game tied at 31-31 in the fourth, Dallas came up with a late safety from Colston Weatherington after blocking kicker Chris Onorato's field-goal attempt with 2:01 left.
The Desperados started their rally early in the decisive period as Sanders found Nash for a nine-yard score at the 13:03 mark to slice the deficit to 31-24. The duo hooked up again almost six minutes later on a seven-yard TD to tie things up at 31-31.
Sanders completed 22-of-39 passes for 222 yards and Nash had eight catches for 98 yards in helping Dallas (5-0) remain undefeated this season.
Aaron Garcia finished 20-of-35 for 174 yards and three TDs with an interception, and Chris Anthony hauled in seven passes for 86 yards and two scores for New York (1-4).
