Rangers' Profar out for season after shoulder surgery
Feb 23, 2015 - 8:34 PM Surprise, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Texas Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar will miss the upcoming season after undergoing right shoulder surgery on Monday.Profar originally decided to put off the surgery to repair his partially torn labrum back in September, but the procedure proved to be unavoidable.
The 22-year-old Profar has been plagued by shoulder problems since 2010 and missed all of last season with a strained muscle in his shoulder.
Profar batted .234 with six homers and 26 RBI in 85 games for Texas in 2013 after making his debut with the team in 2012.
