Big fourth quarter propels Lions past Eskimos
Oct 18, 2008 - 5:45 AMPierce connected on 25-of-40 passes and threw two of his scoring strikes in the fourth quarter, tossing touchdown passes of 31 and 36 yards to Geroy Simon for the Lions (10-6).
B.C. trailed, 28-23, entering the final period but took the lead on Charles Roberts' 2-yard touchdown run with 13:02 remaining. The Lions added to their lead when Simon hauled in a 31-yard score with 9:03 left. B.C. sealed the game on Simon's second touchdown catch with under one minute remaining.
Roberts rushed for 102 yards and two scores and Paris Jackson had eight catches for 127 yards and a touchdown for B.C.
Ricky Ray completed 24-of-33 passes for 367 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eskimos (9-7).
