Trio of Alouettes headline CFL weekly winners

Jul 17, 2012 - 5:27 PM Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Montreal's Anthony Calvillo, Jerald Brown and Shea Emry and Hamilton's Chris Williams have been named the CFL's top players for Week 3 of the 2012 season.

Calvillo earned the offensive honor after completing 23-of-38 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns in Montreal's comeback win over the Calgary Stampeders.

Brown was named the defensive player of the week due to his timely interception on Thursday night. The defensive back picked off Kevin Glenn with 1:36 left in the fourth quarter of the 33-32 win.

Emry is the Canadian of the week after recording a game-high six tackles.

Williams took home the special teams award. The wide receiver and kick returner had four punt returns for 113 yards and a touchdown, one missed field goal return for a 119-yard touchdown and one reception for 34 yards for his third touchdown of the game. Williams' efforts led Hamilton to a 36-27 win over the Toronto Argonauts.
