Hamilton led 13-5 after a 37-yard field goal from Medlock early in the third quarter.

Medlock gave the Tiger-Cats some more breathing room early in the fourth quarter when he drilled a 39-yard field goal.

Winnipeg was able to cut into the deficit late in the fourth quarter when Cory Watson brought in a six-yard touchdown pass from Willy. The ensuing two-point conversion attempt failed, however, leaving the Bombers in a 16-11 hole.

They would get another chance with the ball, taking over with 2:14 to play from their own 23-yard line. Willy led his squad all the way to the Hamilton 3-yard line, but the drive stalled there, allowing Hamilton to take back possession and run out the clock.
