Stampeders sign Wall to extension

Jan 20, 2015 - 5:12 PM Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive back Jamar Wall to a contract extension on Tuesday.

Wall shared the league lead in 2014 with six interceptions and earned CFL, CFLPA and West Division all-star recognition. He started all 18 regular-season games and recorded 62 tackles.

In Calgary's 20-16 win over Hamilton in the Grey Cup, Wall had four tackles.

"Jamar had an excellent season and was an important part of our secondary and our defense as a whole," said Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel. "He has improved every season he has been with us and I believe he has the ability to raise his game even higher."

The Texas Tech product has played 43 regular-season games over three seasons with Calgary, recording 136 tackles, 10 interceptions and two sacks.
