TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Stephen Drew, Chad Tracy and Mark Reynolds each drove in a run and scored a run to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 9-7 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Sunday.
Outfield prospect Brandon Watson added three hits and scored a run and Ryan Roberts, who is attempting to make the team as a utility infielder, had two hits, drove in a run and scored a run for the Diamondbacks.
Former Arizona righthander Edgar Gonzalez, who was signed to a minor league deal by the A's over the winter, allowed two runs and four hits while striking out four in three innings before yielding to prospect Josh Outman, who was roughed up for four runs - two earned - in two frames.
Yusmeiro Petit started for the Diamondbacks and allowed two runs while walking two and striking out a pair in two innings.
Ryan Sweeney homered and Kurt Suzuki doubled for Oakland.
