Peavy to replace Wilson in All-Star Game
Jul 9, 2012 - 1:42 AM Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy was named as the replacement for Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson in the upcoming All-Star Game.Wilson, who will still attend the game and its festivities, has been battling a blister issue on the middle finger of his left hand and will use the All- Star break as a chance to heal.
Peavy will make his third career All-Star appearance and his first in the American League after appearing in 2005 and 2007 with the San Diego Padres.
The 31-year-old has a 7-5 record with a 2.85 ERA and four complete games in 17 starts for the White Sox this season.
