Pirates' McCutchen again wins NL weekly honors
Jul 16, 2012 - 8:01 PM New York, NY (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen was named National League Player of the Week for the period ending July 15.It's the second straight week that McCutchen has won as he batted .583 (7- for-12) with a MLB-tying three home runs along with leading the majors with a 1.333 slugging percentage.
He also went 1-for-2 in last Tuesday's All-Star Game, his second straight appearance at the event.
McCutchen leads the majors with a .371 batting average and a .651 slugging percentage. He also has 21 home runs and 64 RBI along with 61 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 84 games.
