Houston recalls IF Wallace
Jul 29, 2012 - 10:00 PM Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Astros recalled infielder Brett Wallace and optioned infielder/outfielder Brian Bixler to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.Wallace hit .300 with 16 home runs and 57 RBI in 86 games with Oklahoma City.
The 25-year-old hit .333 with two homers in 11 games in the majors this year, and owns a .254 career average with nine home runs across three major league seasons.
Bixler, 29, hit .193 in 36 games with Houston this season, appearing at right field, left field, second base, third base and shortstop.
