Yankees activate Joba Chamberlain
Jul 31, 2012 - 11:28 PM Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees activated reliever Joba Chamberlain from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday.Chamberlain underwent Tommy John surgery last June and then had surgery to repair a dislocated right ankle in March. He had 0.96 earned run average in seven minor league games this year while pitching for the Gulf Coast Yankees, Single-A Tampa and Double-A Trenton.
For his career, the 26-year-old right-hander is 20-13 with four saves and a 3.70 ERA in 193 career games -- 43 starts.
