Red Sox P Beckett leaves game
Aug 1, 2012 - 4:06 AM Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Josh Beckett left Tuesday's rain-shortened 4-1 victory against the Detroit Tigers in the third inning with a back injury.Beckett departed with the bases loaded and two outs in the frame, replaced by Clayton Mortensen.
The 32-year-old right-hander struck out two, walked two and allowed one run on one hit.
Mortensen walked three in his 2 2/3 frames, but allowed just one hit to claim victory.
No one has shouted yet.
