Padres recall Hundley
Aug 9, 2012 - 7:30 PM San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - The San Diego Padres have recalled catcher Nick Hundley from Triple-A Tucson and optioned catcher Eddy Rodriguez to the same club.Hundley is hitting .166 with three homers and 22 RBI in 55 games for the Padres this season. He heads back to the big leagues after being optioned to Tucson on June 30.
Rodriguez, who was selected from Single-A Lake Elsinore on July 31, played in two games during his first stint in the majors. He hit a home run in his first career at-bat against the Reds last Thursday, becoming just the second Padre in club history to hit a home run in his first MLB at-bat.
