Orioles recall Britton to start vs. Tigers
Aug 18, 2012 - 8:42 PM Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles recalled left-hander Zach Britton from Triple-A Norfolk to start Saturday's game against the Tigers.Britton, who began the season on the disabled list with a left shoulder impingement, went 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA in his first five starts before being optioned to Norfolk Aug. 8.
To make room for the lefty, the Orioles sent infielder Joe Mahoney to the Triple-A club.
