Rockies activate P Chacin, place OF Young on DL
Aug 21, 2012 - 10:12 PM Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - Rockies pitcher Jhoulys Chacin was activated from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.Chacin has been on the DL since early May with right shoulder inflammation.
He was having a rough season prior to the DL stint as he went 0-3 with a 7.30 earned run average in five starts.
To make room on the roster, the team placed outfielder Eric Young Jr. on the 15-day disabled list with a left intercostals muscle strain.
He is batting .316 with four home runs and 15 RBI over 98 games in his fourth season.
