Tigers 3B Cabrera exits early
Aug 23, 2012 - 5:43 PM Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera left Thursday's contest with the Toronto Blue Jays in the top of the second inning with right ankle soreness.Cabrera lined out to right field for the final out of the first inning and appeared hobbled as he jogged toward first base.
The Detroit slugger manned his position at third to start the second, but after Omar Vizquel popped out to first for the second out of the frame, Cabrera called for the trainer and walked gingerly toward the dugout.
Ramon Santiago took over at third for Cabrera, who is batting .326 with 31 home runs and 105 RBI.
