Giants' Christian put on DL
Aug 23, 2012 - 11:55 PM San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - San Francisco Giants outfielder Justin Christian has been put on the 15-day disabled list due to a sprained left wrist.Christian suffered the injury making a diving play in the outfield during Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He recently replaced the suspended Melky Cabrera in San Francisco's lineup, but over 26 games this season, Christian is batting .125 with two RBI.
The Giants also recalled outfielder Francisco Peguero from Triple-A Fresno. He has yet to appear in a major league game.
