Giants place Huff on disabled list
Apr 22, 2014 - 5:08 PM Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Francisco Giants placed pitcher David Huff on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.Huff is sidelined with a strained left quadriceps, suffered when running out his first big league hit during Monday's 8-2 loss to the Rockies.
The 29-year-old left-hander is 1-0 with a 3.86 earned run average in eight appearances this season.
To fill the roster spot, San Francisco recalled outfielder Juan Perez from Triple-A Fresno.
