Padres activate 1B Alonso
Jul 26, 2014 - 10:36 PM Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Padres activated first baseman Yonder Alonso from the 15-day disabled list prior to Saturday's game against Atlanta.Alonso was batting .210 with five homers and a .250 on-base percentage when he went on the DL last month with right wrist tendinitis.
The Padres optioned utility man Jake Goebbert to Triple-A El Paso to make room.
