Ramirez accepts option, remains with Brewers
Nov 3, 2014 - 4:46 PM Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Third baseman Aramis Ramirez has accepted the option on his contract and will remain with the Milwaukee Brewers for the 2015 season.Ramirez had a mutual option for the 2015 season on a three-year contract he signed with the Brewers prior to the 2012 campaign. The Brewers accepted their part of the option on Friday and Ramirez had three days to accept his end of the deal or become a free agent.
The 36-year-old veteran batted .285 with 15 homers and 66 RBI in his 2014 All- Star campaign. Ramirez has a .285 average with 369 home runs and 1,342 RBI over his 17-year career.
