Pirates claim P Lindblom off waivers from A's
Dec 8, 2014 - 9:08 PM Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed pitcher Josh Lindblom off waivers from the Oakland Athletics on Monday.Lindblom was 4-3 with a 5.79 earned run average in 16 starts and one relief appearance last season for Oakland's Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento. He did make one start for the Athletics on April 2.
The 27-year-old righty has posted a 5-8 record with a 3.82 ERA in 110 games (six starts) for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers and A's.
The Pirates also outrighted pitcher Angel Sanchez to Triple-A Indianapolis.
