Marlins, White Sox swap pitchers

Dec 11, 2014 - 5:18 PM San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Marlins acquired righty Andre Rienzo from the Chicago White Sox on Thursday in exchange for left- handed reliever Dan Jennings.

Rienzo, the first player born in Brazil to start and win a major league game, split the 2014 season between Triple-A Charlotte and Chicago, going a combined 5-9 with a 5.66 ERA in 28 games (20 starts). He pitched to a 6.82 ERA over 18 appearances with the White Sox.

Jennings, meanwhile, pitched in 47 games for the Marlins last season and was 0-2 with a 1.34 ERA.
