Yankees set to bring back Capuano

Dec 16, 2014 - 7:14 PM Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees have re-signed pitcher Chris Capuano to a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the YES Network on Tuesday said it was worth $5 million.

Capuano joined the Yankees last July and posted a record of 2-3 with a 4.25 ERA in 12 starts. He began the year with the Red Sox and was released on July 1, then pitched in the Rockies' minor league system before the Yankees obtained him.

The 36-year-old lefty owns a career record of 76-87 with a 4.28 ERA in 278 games, including 221 starts, over 10 seasons with the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Mets, Brewers and Diamondbacks.
