Pirates win bidding process on SS Kang
Dec 22, 2014 - 6:31 PM Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Pirates submitted the highest bid for the negotiating rights to Korean shortstop Jung Ho Kang.The Pirates now have 30 days to try and work out a contract with Kang.
Kang, 27, hit .356 with 40 home runs and 117 RBI over 117 games last season for the Nexen Heroes.
