Athletics agree to terms with Sogard
Jan 23, 2015 - 10:15 PM Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics and infielder Eric Sogard agreed to a one-year contract on Friday to avoid arbitration.Sogard, 28, appeared in 117 games last season and batted .223 with 22 RBI and one home run.
Over five seasons with Oakland, Sogard has compiled a .235 batting average with 68 RBI, seven home runs and 98 runs in 315 games.
Pitchers Tyler Clippard, Jarrod Parker and Fernando Abad are Oakland's three remaining players eligible for arbitration.
