Giants re-sign P Vogelsong
Jan 23, 2015 - 10:51 PM San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Francisco Giants re-signed right-handed pitcher Ryan Vogelsong to a one-year contract on Friday.Financial terms were not disclosed, but according to the San Francisco Chronicle, Vogelsong will earn $4 million with performance bonuses.
In 2014, Vogelsong posted an 8-13 record with a 4.00 ERA in 184 2/3 innings for the Giants and also won his second World Series with the club.
The 37-year-old Vogelsong has spent the last four seasons with San Francisco after a four-season span spent in Triple-A as well as overseas.

It was reported earlier in the week that Vogelsong was close to signing with the Houston Astros, but late negotiations with the Giants produced a deal for him to return.
In his 10 year big-league career that includes two stints with San Francisco and some time with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Vogelsong owns a 49-57 record with a 4.42 ERA in 972 2/3 innings.
