Nationals closer Storen has minor surgery on hand

Mar 13, 2015 - 11:21 PM Viera, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Nationals closer Drew Storen had surgery on his non-pitching hand, but he is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

The right-hander had a procedure to remove a "hook of a hamate" bone in his left hand, which he hurt while using a bat. He will likely miss only a few days of action.

In 65 games last season, Storen went 2-1 with a 1.12 ERA and 11 saves.
