Nats activate Janssen from the DL
May 22, 2015 - 6:59 PM Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Nationals activated pitcher Casey Janssen from the 15-day disabled list Friday.Janssen, who signed a one-year contract with the Nationals in February, missed the first 41 games with right shoulder inflammation.
The 33-year-old right-hander spent his first eight seasons with Toronto, where he compiled a 29-24 record with a 3.52 earned run average and 90 saves over 389 appearances.
In a corresponding move, Washington placed left-hander Sammy Solis on the 15- day disabled list due to left shoulder inflammation. The move is retroactive to May 18.
