Giants' Lincecum hit in arm by liner, exits

Jun 27, 2015 - 9:56 PM San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - San Francisco Giants right-hander Tim Lincecum left Saturday's game against Colorado with a right forearm contusion after being hit in his pitching arm by a line drive in the second inning.

Lincecum spun around and put his head between his legs after being struck near his right elbow by DJ LeMahieu's liner. The ball ricocheted to first baseman Buster Posey, who threw home for the inning's second out.

The struggling two-time Cy Young Award winner gave up three runs in the first inning. He was coming off the shortest outing of his career in a 10-2 loss to the Dodgers last Sunday, when he allowed five runs in just 1 1/3 innings.

Lincecum was replaced on the mound by Yusmeiro Petit.
