Rockies' Reyes pleads not guilty to abusing wife in Hawaii
Nov 25, 2015 - 5:48 PM WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) Colorado Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes is pleading not guilty to allegations of abusing his wife at a Hawaii resort.Maui police arrested Reyes after an argument Oct. 31 with his wife that allegedly turned physical at the Four Seasons Resort.
Reyes didn't attend his arraignment Tuesday on Maui. According to court records, defense attorney David Sereno entered the not guilty plea on Reyes' behalf to a charge of abuse of a family or household member.
According to a recording of the 911 call released by police, a hotel security guard reported that the woman had injuries to her left leg and scratches on her neck.
Reyes was arrested and then released after posting $1,000 bail.
