Mets sign outfielder Bernadina to minor league contract
Feb 8, 2016 - 10:35 PM NEW YORK (AP) The New York Mets have signed outfielder Roger Bernadina to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.The NL champions announced the deal Monday.
The 31-year-old Bernadina has played in parts of seven big league seasons, mostly for Washington. He spent last year in Triple-A with the Colorado system, hitting .276 with 15 home runs and 20 stolen bases.
Bernadina played for Cincinnati and the Dodgers in 2014. He is a career .236 hitter with 28 homers and 59 steals in the majors.
