NY Yankees (33-33) at Oakland (35-30) 10:05 p.m. EDT

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Andy Pettitte tries to bounce back from his worst outing of the season on Thursday when the New York Yankees visit the Oakland Athletics in the finale of a three-game series.

Pettitte (5-5, 4.99 ERA) surrendered a career-high 10 runs and allowed 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings during Saturday's 12-11 win over the Kansas City Royals.

The 35-year-old lefthander has taken two straight no decisions after back-to-back wins and owns an 8-5 record with a 3.59 ERA in 17 career starts against the Athletics.

Joe Blanton (3-8, 4.15) counters for Oakland, which evened this series at a game apiece with Wednesday's 8-4 victory.

Blanton dropped each of his last two starts, allowing nine runs - eight earned - and 17 hits in 13 innings over that span.
