NY Yankees (44-37) at NY Mets (39-41) 1:10 pm EDT

FLUSHING, New York (Ticker) -- The New York Yankees hope to make it three straight wins over the New York Mets when the teams meet Sunday.

The Yankees held on for a rain-delayed, 3-2 victory in their interleague game against the Mets on Saturday. It was their second straight win at Shea Stadium after suffering three consecutive losses to the Mets at Yankee Stadium.

The last of those Bronx defeats was 15-6 pasting on Friday before the teams continued their split doubleheader in Flushing later that night. The Yankees got some payback with a 9-0 blanking in the second game.

Darrell Rasner (4-5, 4.50 ERA), who hopes to rebound from his worst start of the season, takes the mound for the Yankees.

The 27-year-old righthander was shelled for season highs of seven earned runs and 10 hits in a 12-5 loss vs. Pittsburgh last Tuesday.

Oliver Perez (5-5, 5.29), who has gone 1-2 with four no decisions since May 23, starts for the Mets. The 26-year-old erratic lefthander surrendered six runs and seven hits in five innings as the Mets were shellacked 11-0 vs. the Seattle Mariners last Tuesday.

The Mets, who are 12-14 in the month of June, are 5-6 since Jerry Manuel replaced Willie Randolph as manager on June 17.

However, another win vs. the Yankees would give the Mets their 100th victory (99-95) in interleague play since it began in 1997.
