innings to the San Diego Padres, OF Elijah Dukes is batting .306
(69-for-225) with 44 runs, 15 doubles, 13 homers, 43 RBI, 40 
walks and a .421 on-base percentage in 62 games beginning on May
24. ... OF Lastings Milledge recorded his fourth multi-hit 
effort in the last six games.  He has hit safely in nine of his 
last 11, a .354 clip (17-for-48) with three doubles, one home 
run and four RBI. ... With his bases-loaded, fourth-inning 
single off Mike Ekstrom, RHP Collin Balester notched his first 
career RBI.  It was the sixth RBI this season by Nationals 
pitchers. The previous was recorded by RHP Tim Redding on July 5
at Cincinnati. ... Washington's 12 walks are a season-high and 
the most since July 6, 2006 against the Florida Marlins in an 
8-7, 11-inning victory when the Nationals also walked 12 times. 
The 12 walks are the most the Padres have allowed since April 
26, 2003 against the Cincinnati Reds (13).
