RHP Chris Young took a perfect game into the eighth inning 
Sunday, recording two outs in the frame before Gabe Kapler hit a
1-0 pitch out for a home run.  It marked the longest a Padres 
pitcher has ever gone before having a perfect game broken up. 
... OF Brian Giles has walked 470 times as a Padre, tying Ryan 
Klesko for second on the club's all-time list.  Tony Gwynn holds
the franchise record with 790 free passes.  Giles rankes 10th 
among active players with 1,144 career walks. ... The 10 runs 
scored Sunday were the fifth time the Padres have scored double 
digit runs this season. ... Rookie SS Sean Kazmar, who entered 
Sunday 1-for-15 in his short career, had three hits in five 
plate appearances.
