Hibbert, Pacers down 76ers

Mar 2, 2015 - 2:58 AM Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Roy Hibbert had 14 points and 15 rebounds as the Indiana Pacers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 94-74 on Sunday night.

"I thought he was as active as he's been in weeks," Indiana coach Frank Vogel said of Hibbert.

George Hill posted 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while Luis Scola added 15 points and six boards off the bench for the Pacers, who have won five of their last six games.

Nerlens Noel supplied 10 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia, which has dropped six of its last seven contests.

"We don't have any sort of purpose offensively," Sixers coach Brett Brown said.

The Pacers led by as many as 17 in the third quarter, but the Sixers chipped away and an Isaiah Canaan 3-pointer cut the deficit to 77-71 with 9:07 remaining.

Indiana, though, netted the last 13 points of the game.Hibbert sunk a pair of foul shots and hit a jumper before Scola added a jumper to extend the margin to 87-74 with 3:52 to play and it cruised to the finish line from there.

Earlier Hill and Hibbert netted four quick points apiece as the Pacers raced out to a 13-5 start. They led 27-24 following a quarter of play and a 10-0 second quarter run helped them build a 59-46 cushion at the break.

Solomon Hill's jumper at the 9:33 mark of the third staked Indiana to its largest bulge of 63-46 and it was up 73-64 going into the fourth.
