Knicks' Stoudemire fined $50K for Twitter slur
Jun 27, 2012 - 5:20 AM New York, NY (Sports Network) - The NBA fined New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire $50,000 on Tuesday for using offensive and derogatory language in a Twitter message.Stoudemire sent an expletive and an anti-gay slur in a direct message to a fan, who initially taunted the forward and re-posted Stoudemire's reply on his account.
