Sixers acquire Moultrie from Heat
Jun 29, 2012 - 4:19 AM Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers made a deal to get a big man on draft night, acquiring the rights to Arnett Moultrie from the Miami Heat.In return, the reigning NBA champions receive the draft rights to center Justin Hamilton (45th overall) and a future conditional first-round pick.
Moultrie, a 6-foot-11 power forward from Mississippi State, was the 27th overall selection. He averaged 16.4 points and 10.5 rebounds per outing last season and converted 54.9 percent of his field goal attempts.
Hamilton appeared in 96 collegiate games (81 starts) and averaged 12.9 points and 7.2 rebounds last season at LSU.
