Kings sign top-pick Robinson
Jul 9, 2012 - 10:04 PM Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - The Sacramento Kings have signed first-round draft pick Thomas Robinson to a contract.The Kings selected Robinson with the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of the University of Kansas.
Robinson averaged 17.7 points and 11.9 rebounds per game during his junior season and led the Jayhawks to the national championship game, which they lost to Kentucky.
The 21-year-old forward led the nation in double-doubles (27) and was named Big 12 player of the year and a first-team All-American.
