T'Wolves sign Batum to offer sheet
Jul 15, 2012 - 11:04 PM Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves signed restricted free agent forward Nicolas Batum to an offer sheet on Sunday.Under the terms of the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Portland Trail Blazers have until a minute before midnight on July 18 to match Minnesota's offer to Batum.
A four-year veteran, Batum averaged 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds over 59 games with the Trail Blazers last season.
The 25th pick of the 2008 draft, he has averaged 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in just over 26 minutes per game in 255 contests.
