Suns sign 1st-round pick Marshall
Jul 16, 2012 - 6:16 PM Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Suns signed 2012 first-round draft pick Kendall Marshall to a contract on Monday.The Suns used the 13th overall pick to select Marshall, a 6-foot-4 point guard from North Carolina.
Marshall won the Bob Cousy Award as the nation's top point guard last season after ranking second in the nation in assists per game at 9.8. He also led the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.5.
The 20-year-old Marshall averaged 7.2 points and 8.0 assists in 73 career games at North Carolina.
