Mavericks get Mayo
Jul 17, 2012 - 6:58 AM Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Free agent guard O.J. Mayo has apparently joined the Dallas Mavericks.Mayo, who spent the first four years of his NBA career with Memphis, sent a message via Twitter of his intentions.
"I will be signing with dallas!," Mayo tweeted.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban also used Twitter to confirm that the team is obtaining Mayo, who has missed just 11 games in his four-year career.
"Welcome to the family OJ. We are fired up !! MFFL Mavs/Mayo Fan For Life!," Cuban wrote.
This past season, Mayo averaged 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
