Nets bring back Kris Humphries

Jul 17, 2012 - 5:08 PM Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to terms with forward Kris Humphries.

Terms were not disclosed, but the New York Daily News has reported it to be a two-year deal worth $24 million.

Humphries averaged personal bests of 13.8 points and 11.0 rebounds in 62 games during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 campaign. He tied for fourth in the NBA in rebounding last season and was 10th in the league with 29 double-doubles.

Acquired from Dallas in January 2010, Humphries also averaged a double-double of 10.0 points and 10.4 rebounds in his first full season of 2010-11 with the Nets.

"Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years," said Nets general manager Billy King in a statement. "He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league and we are very pleased to welcome him back."

The 27-year-old Minnesota product has averaged 6.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in 493 NBA games over eight seasons with the Jazz, Raptors, Mavericks and Nets.
