NBA: Foul wrongly called on Rockets' Howard
Apr 22, 2014 - 1:24 AM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The NBA said a foul called on Houston's Dwight Howard late in overtime Sunday should have been assessed to Portland's Joel Freeland instead.Howard, a career 57 percent free-throw shooter, should have been awarded two foul shots after he and Freeland got tangled up battling for a rebound in a one-point game.
Instead, Freeland made 1-of-2 foul shots at the other end with 10.8 seconds remaining, giving the Trail Blazers their winning 122-120 margin.
