Raptors get Lou Williams from Hawks
Jul 1, 2014 - 3:09 AM Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Raptors acquired guard Lou Williams and the draft rights to center Lucas Nogueira from the Atlanta Hawks Monday night in exchange for guard/forward John Salmons and a 2015 second- round draft pick.Williams averaged 10.4 points in 60 games (seven starts) for the Hawks last season. He has played in 554 career games, 54 of them starts, for Philadelphia and Atlanta.
Salmons averaged 5.2 points in 78 games (eight starts) last season with Sacramento and Toronto. He was acquired from the Kings on Dec. 9, 2013 in a seven-player trade.
The 7-foot Nogueira was selected 16th overall by the Boston Celtics last week. His draft rights were then dealt to Dallas and eventually to Atlanta. He has played since 2009 with a team in Spain.
