Report: Frye, Magic agree on 4-year deal

Jul 7, 2014 - 10:40 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - NBA veteran Channing Frye has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal with the Orlando Magic.

Frye's new contract will be worth $32 million, according to Yahoo Sports.

The free-agent forward, who opted out of the final year of his deal with the Phoenix Suns, thanked a follower on Twitter who welcomed him to the Magic.

Frye, 31, missed the entire 2012-13 season after a routine echocardiogram showed he had an enlarged heart.

He returned to start all 82 games this past season, his eighth in the NBA, and averaged 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Suns.

The former No. 8 overall draft pick has averaged 9.9 points and 5.2 rebounds in 582 career games for New York, Portland and Phoenix.
