Lakers sign Randle
Jul 14, 2014 - 2:24 PM El Segundo, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Julius Randle, the seventh overall pick of the NBA Draft.Randle spent just one season at Kentucky before declaring for the draft. He averaged 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 40 games for the Wildcats.
The Dallas native was named the SEC's top freshman and a First-Team All-SEC choice. He led the nation with 24 double-doubles and helped Kentucky to the NCAA Tournament championship game last spring.
