LeBron James going back to No. 23
Jul 27, 2014 - 6:33 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - There's good news for any fan who held on to their LeBron James No. 23 jersey. It's relevant again.
James said Sunday he will wear the uniform number again with the Cleveland Cavaliers after spending four seasons in a different jersey in Miami.
"23 it is! It's only right I go back," James said as part of a message posted on his Instagram account.
James wore the No. 23 from his years in high school through the time he played for the Cavaliers until he signed with the Heat in 2010. He changed his number to 6 and reached four straight NBA Finals with Miami, winning back-to-back titles in 2012 and '13.
James returned to Cleveland on a two-year, $42.1 million deal earlier this month. He played his first seven NBA seasons for the Cavs, taking them to the Finals once in 2007.
