Marion will join Cavs
Aug 17, 2014 - 5:30 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - Free-agent forward Shawn Marion has decided to join forces with LeBron James in Cleveland.Marion informed the Cavaliers this weekend that he intends to sign with them this month, according to ESPN. He passed on opportunities to sign with the Pacers, Heat and Clippers.
The Cavs have added James, Mike Miller and James Jones this offseason. They also have an agreement in place to acquire Minnesota's Kevin Love.
Marion averaged 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 76 games last season for the Dallas Mavericks.
In 1,106 career games with the Suns, Heat, Raptors and Mavericks, Marion has averaged 15.8 points and 9.0 rebounds. He has also averaged 14.7 points and 9.1 rebounds in 103 playoff games.
