Kings' Cousins ready to return

Dec 18, 2014 - 9:33 PM Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is expected to return from a 10-game absence in Thursday's game against Milwaukee.

Cousins has not played since Nov. 26 due to a bout with viral meningitis that briefly hospitalized the 24-year-old. With their leading scorer and rebounder sidelined, the Kings lost eight of those 10 games and fired head coach Mike Malone in the midst of that stretch.

The fifth-year pro has been having a career season, averaging 23.5 points and 12.6 rebounds over 15 games.

Sacramento also listed forward Rudy Gay, who is dealing with tendinitis in his right Achilles, probable for Thursday's tilt.
